August Currently and Favorite Reads for Book Lover's Day

 Hello August!

I missed last month's link up entirely and am a week late for this one, but life has been a bit of a whirlwind lately. Better late than never to link up with Anne for a Currently checkin.

June Rewind- We ended up spending the entire month in Maine and LOVED every minute of it. Posts with all the best thing coming soon. We were originally planning to only stay for a two weeks, but we loved it so much and a friend decided to come visit so we opted to close of the month enjoying more of Main'e magic. We hiked. We ate lobster (we didn't think the lobster rolls lived up to the hype, but grilling a 4 lb beast of a lobster on the grill sure did). We took in all the coastal New England town feels. It was simply wonderful!

July Rewind- We slowly started making our way back towards Florida after Babe got the notification from work that they would be returning to the office at least a few days a week come the first of August. We were sad to be closing out this stint of full-time travel, but also grateful that something answered our "do you think it's time to start settling down" questions for us. We did a week in Virginia, finally visiting historic Williamsburg. We stopped in TN for the 4th of July and one more week with family, then made it back to Florida in time to load a car back up (this time with 4 kids in tow) and head to Georgia for our summer blowout! Having two tweens and two littles made this trip pretty interesting. Some of the amenities we enjoy where we stayed were closed for a bit too. We filled up the week with new adventures, maybe a few trying moments too, but loved another fun Aunt Mel/Uncle Andrew adventure.

Moving into August here's what I'm...

{Admiring} All the amazing books on sale and all the amazing books I still have on my TBR list. It's not a bad problem to have so many good options out that it's hard to choose. Today is National Book Lover's Day! Here are a few of my favorite reads that are currently on sale on Amazon...

{Anticipating} New big things and life changes headed our way... stay tuned!

{Enjoying} Some time in the sun now that we're back at the beach for a while. I also love being close to Orlando, but still in get the small town vibes that beach life provides. My bestie was just a short drive away and came up from Orlando. We spent Saturday doing a Sip & Stroll, then lazed around all Sunday after slightly enjoying the stroll too much- haha. We set up a cover and didn't leave the beach for hours. Having shade makes beaching sooooo much more enjoyable!

{Spending} $$ on new clothing for myself- finally! I HATE shopping, with a passion. But I also haven't added anything new to my wardrobe since last year. I mostly seem to shop around bathing suit season and get a couple things along with a new suit. I have actually loved everything I have found recently, including this new suit (if between sizes I would size down, mines just a little big in the boobs). My other new purchases are in the top finds on my Amazon page (the drawstring shorts are soooo COMFY).

{Saving} Am I allowed to say my sanity?! New things are coming and trying to give myself space to process them so I don't end up freaking out. Change, even good, has a way of putting me in a tailspin for a bit. I am also taking on new clients at work, which is great, but just working to find some balance with all the newness going on.

That's it for me this month!
What does life look like for you currently?
