I know that the New Year has “done been”* rung in, but my
resolution to myself was to be more productive and motivated. I am typically not the best at
self-motivation but I was determined that this would be the year for change
(something that typically does not bode well with me! I know it’s inevitable
but honestly change, good or bad, gives me anxiety). So, in fitting with character, that big drive
was a little late and got started just about the end of February. I started with really getting my passion for
photography off and running. See here!

The next step was to combat some of my other bucket/motivation
list items. One of which was to start a
blog so…. here goes nothing (or everything depending on how you look at it).
This has been on my bucket list for a while now. I follow so many great blogs and for probably
at least a year now have been going back and forth on starting my own. Tuesday’s a good a day as any to start a
blog right?! One thing you should know
is that I am a horribly indecisive person, I seriously eeni-menni-miini-mo most
small decisions in my life. Hot or iced
coffee? Do I want to watch Harry Potter 1 or 2? As if one choice over the other would change the course of my entire life. Seriously, it’s kind of any
issue! Anyways, I could not for the life
of me decide what to name this blog. My
two finals were the one you see above and Wonder of Words. ‘Words’ was the big factor so I knew that
would be in there somewhere. Words are
kind of important to me! There is so
much you can get from the written word.
Histories, stories, wisdom, God…. It’s just kind of incredible to me the
things words can reveal. Life’s Sweet
Words just seemed to fit my personality a bit better (and also fit my current
drive to own bees so I can make my own honey.
This is mostly a pipe dream that will not come to fruition). So welcome, (name's Melanie by the way) I would love for you to join me on this journey! Check back in tomorrow for
some ‘expectations’ and a good bit more about me.
*Please note, in conversational posts such as this you may stumble upon misused grammar. Please do not pay this any alarm. Sometimes my head just finds it funny to have my mouth talk that way so you may find some along with some nonsense who-knows-what-the-heck-she-just-said phrases (such as "Babe be trippin' like Bruce"... I don't really even know what it actually means but in context it all makes sense to me and hopefully it will to you). Sometimes it all just comes out and I felt like since I would typically say it as I hear it in my head I may as well just share it with you here as if we were sitting at a table chatting over lunch.
